Title: Mangosteen Opener

Aim/Objective

The "Mangosteen Opener" provides a convenient

solution to cutting a mangosteen neatly and safely.

Why the need?

It is a tedious and messy task to break the thick shell of

a mangosteen. The fruit ended up squashed and the
juice will stain the hands or clothes of the person who
attempts to break the shell of a mangosteen.

How does it work?
• Place the mangosteen in the holder.
• Turn the circular blade into the mangosteen until it
makes a sufficiently deep cut.
• Hold the mangosteen together with the holder and
rotate until the cut is complete.
• Remove the upper shell and the fruit is ready to
serve.

Title: The Bag-Stack

Aim/Objective

The ‘Bag-Stack’ provides students with a convenient

platform to place their schoolbags in a classroom
environment

Why the need?

Students have a tendency to leave their school bags

on the floor or placing them on their chairs. Placing
their schoolbags on the floor obstructs the aisles and
creates the likelihood for others to trip over their
bags. On the other hand, bags that are placed on the
student’s chair reduce the amount of space he/she
has for sitting. With the invention of the ‘Bag-stack’,
students can sit on the chair comfortably without their
schoolbags taking up most of the space.
 The Bag-Stack
How does it work?
• Pull out the drawer.
• Put the bag on the drawer.
• When the drawer is not in use, the user can just
give it a push and the drawer will be kept neatly
under the chair. Even if the drawer is pushed hard,
it would not slam due to the hydraulic system.
