DEMAND LETTER

03 October 2020

MS. JOANA MARIE CASTILLO

Amulung, Cagayan

Dear Ms. Castillo:

This has reference to the money amounting to two hundred thirty thousand pesos
(Php230,000) which you borrowed to me on September 12, 2019 and which remain
outstanding and unpaid as of date.

May I remind you Ms. Castillo that as agreed at that time, you have promised to pay
the principle amount with interest on or before September 25, 2019. In fact, you have
given me a check amounting to two hundred seventy-four thousand pesos
(Php274,000) as security for the said amount.

However, when the amount became due on September 25, 2019, you pleaded against
the encashment of the check as according to you, the account has no sufficient funds.
Trusting your words and giving you the benefit of the doubt, I gave you the chance to
settle the amount in cash on a later date.

Unfortunately, despite several attempts to follow-up your payment, you have had a
lot of excuses, until such time that I lost communication with you after you refused
to answer my personal calls and messages and even blocked me in social messaging
applications.

I now write to you to DEMAND FULL PAYMENT of the outstanding balance plus
interests within five (5) days from receipt hereof.

Alternatively, and without prejudice to my rights for the full recovery of the debt plus
interest, I am open to accepting the amount of the principle money which is two
hundred thirty thousand pesos (Php230,000) on or before October 8, 2020.

After consultation with my legal counsel, your failure to settle this amicably with me
within the time specified above shall cause us to resort to legal remedies such as
commencing a proceeding for recovery of money before the courts of justice.

You may reach me anytime the soonest at ________________.

Sincerely,

MARK JAYSON CHAVEZ
