Good evening, Doc.

1. Is the Philippines over populated?

Answer : No
Why: The Philippines is not yet overpopulated as we can see in our 110 million people over
a vast land area of 300,000 square kilometers. Our land area could sufficiently habituate the
Filipino people. The importation of rice is not the basis for overpopulation. Lets take a look in
the Philippines where the agricultural area for rice field totals 5.4 million hectares, yes, it could
not be able to feed the millions of filipinos around the country because we lack the vast track
area like in Vietnam where the plantation is easy and faster than in our country where the
some slope is not suitable for farming and not to mention the hundreds of typhoons that
come along the year which destroys the crops and livelihood of our poor farmers. Of course
with the advent of faster technology other countries could export their rices to our country in
order to aid us especially for relief operations where filipino people were affected. Yet in the
many years to come, the population will grow, and death toll is lower.

2. Is that the reason why Philippines is still a poor country?

Answer: No. The Philippines still remains to be a poor country and not yet attain the same
level of some rich countries in terms of services and high end facilities but we are closer to
that if only Filipinos will educate themselves. Educating by working here in our country and
help our resources available all the time to provide the needs of Filipinos. By prioritizing the
quality of education, so that anyone would be a professional that could be an asset of the
country and not just a mere tambay who had nothing and make a dozen of children.
