Oral Presentation
Description and Criteria

Objective The objective of this project is to be able to convey in spoken form information about a study
abroad program, as well as the institution and city where it is located.

Introduction Participating in a study abroad program can be a very rewarding and enriching experience for
students. It can give the opportunity to experience different countries, cultures, languages,
educational models, and ways of thinking. There are several different types of study abroad
programs including academic, volunteer, and language study.

The idea of creating an oral presentation is to explore and research the possibilities for studying abroad
that exist based on your interests and goals, such as the programs, countries, cities, and institutions you
would like to experience. Using the International Studies Office page on the Icesi web site will be a very
helpful resource for researching the possibilities available to you.

Final Product
- Oral Presentation- A 5 minute oral presentation about a study abroad program.

Things to consider when researching and developing your oral presentations are:

• the name of the program


• the institution connected with the program and pertinent information about it
• the location and pertinent information about the city and country where the program is
• program cost
• program length
• who can apply to the program
• application requirements
• housing information
• any other relevant information
• an image that represents the program
