1.0.Introduction
1.1Background of the Study
Yambao Funeral Service is using the ordinary way for conducting services to
people. And that is the manual computing of sales and manual recording of transactions
and client profile. Upon using the ways these are the several or conflict that they may
encounter.
FCPA’S conduct a survey about the company and develop a system that may
solve their problem. This system is called Funeral Service System for Yambao Funeral
Homes.
1.2. Statement of the Problem
1.2.1. How can the proponents create a module that will accurately assessed and
compute the total amount paid by the customer.
1.2.2. How can the proponents develop a module that will provide contract and
agreement of both parties.
1.2.3. How can the proponents provide a module that will secure all the records
and information of the company.
1.2.4 How can the proponents create a module that will accept payments and
provide acknowledgement receipts.
1.2.5 How can the proponents develop a module that will generate necessary
reports relating to inventories and deliveries.

1.3. Objective of The Study
1.3.1. To create a module that will accurately assessed and compute the
total amount paid by the customer.
1.3.2. To develop a module that will provide contract and agreement of
both parties.
1.3.3 To provide a module that will secure all the records and information
of the company.
1.3.4 To create a module that will accept payments and provide
acknowledgement receipts.
1.3.5 To develop a module that will generate necessary reports relating to
inventories and deliveries.
1.4. Significance of the Study
1.4.1. To the Company.This system will lessen the efforts of the employee in
computing the accurate amount paid by the clients and this system also provide
the exact inventories and deliveries with in a period.
1.4.2. To the Manager/Owner.The manager can easily monitor the overall
performance of his employees and the status of his business by the help of this
system.

1.4.3. The Secretary.The secretary will easily provide the necessary reports and
customer informations the she needed by consulting this system.
1.4.4. Proponents.Upon doing this research, the proponents get and absorb some
information and knowledge about this particular problem.
1.4.5. Future Researchers.This research can be a basis and guide of the future
researchers about this particular topic.
1.5. Scope and Limitations.
1.5.1 Scope
The proposed system will cover the following functions:
• Recording of informations of all clients or customers
• Assessment and billing transactions;
• Reports on sales;
• The system can only accept cash and check payments.
1.5.2. Limitations:
• The system will not accept debit card and credit card;
• The system will not provide reports on inventories; and
• The system will not accept online transactions.

2.0. Methodology of the Study.
System Development Life Cycle
Is a common methodology for systems development in many organizations,
Featuring several phases that mark the process of the systems ananlysis and design effort.
The proponents will use the System Development Life Cycle. It is divided into 6
Stages,namely, Project Planning, Requirements, Analysis, design, Implementation, and
Maintenance.

Phases of SDLC
 Project Planning phrase
It involves creating of set of plans to help guide the proponents through
the execution and closure phases of the project. The plans created during this phase will
help you to manage time, cost, quality, change, risk, and issues.
This phase will include brainstorming of the possible software that the
proponents will develop, meetings, looking for a company and developing preliminary
schedule of activities.
 Requirements Determination Phase
It determines the needs or conditions to meet for a new altered product or
project, taking account of the possibly conflicting requirements of the various
stakeholders, analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing software or system
requirements.
The second phase will be composed of interviews, research and observations done
by the proponents related to the proposed system which will be documented.
 Analysis Phase
It is the process of gathering and interpreting facts,diagnosing problems and
recommending improvements to the system. Analyzes end user infoirmation needs and
also removes any inconsistencess and incompleteness in these requirements.
In this part, the gathered requirements will be analyzed by the proponents for the
development of proposed system.

 Design Phase
This phase describes desired features and operations in details, creating the layout
of the project is also involved.
In this phase, the proponents will sketch the layout of the system with its different
screens or pages and the proponents will make a Graphical User Interface for the
system’s user to be presented.
 Implementation Phase
The team builds the components either from scratch or by composition. Given the
architecture document from the design phase and the requirement document from the
analysis phase, the team should build exactly what has been requested, though, there is
still room for innovation and flexibility.
In this phase, the proponents will start coding the program of the system and try to
run it for testing if there is any errors.
 Maintenance Phase
Updating and improving the sytem to ensure its continuous use.
In this phase, the propononents will noe deliver the finished system ready to be
used with maintenance from the programmers and detection of any errors will be
observed.

3.0. Data Gathering Procedures and Output
3.1. Interview.
A meeting which someone is asked a couple of questions by the prospective employer, a
journalist or a researcher in able to get informations in a prticular topic.
The proponents interviewed the owner of the Yambao Funeral Services, they asked about
how the employees work on and gather some information about how the transactions happen
in the kind of business they have. They considered the idea of having this system in order for
him to evaluate the monthly report of their clients, and for them to have an easy and modern
way of transaction.
3.2. Research
Methodical investigation into a subject in order to discover facts, to establish, or revise a
theory, or to develop a plan of action based on the facts discovered.
We also gathered information about how their clients interact with them when their
transactions occur and search to the internet the related solution in this kind of problem the
company has. Internet has a lot of information that could help the proponents in developing
this system.
3.3. Observation
The attentive watching of somebody or something, upon watching to that particular
happenings, many ideas get into your mind.
The proponents visited the particular place where the Yambao Funeral Services is in to
observe the daily routine of their employees and how they will implement the system.

4.0 The Existing System
4.1. Company Background.
Yambao Funeral Services is a service-oriented institution regarding funeral. It
is owned by Mr. And Mrs. Yambao. Located at Brgy. Townsite Mariveles, Bataan.
4.2. Description of the system.
The traditional way of serving the clients done by the Yambao Funeral Services
is by book recording. Meaning to say they were manual base. Like recording their client’s
information in a piece of paper and keep it in an envelope. Sometimes, there are
unexpected events that may happen like losing some info or data about that client. That’s
why we have our idea to create this Yambao Funeral Service System.
Yambao Funeral Service System is a system that contain all the information
needed by the administrator regarding their clients. This also includes the different
transactions that will be done between their clients and employees. This system also
allows the administrator monitor the status of their business in a short period of time. In
short, this system will minimize the efforts of the employees and the administrator
regarding their works.
4.3. Problem Area.
 There is a possibility of losing some or sometimes all of the data about their
clients. If they continue their manual base, they might encounter loss of clients
and the possibility of gaining profit will be decreased.

 Possible errors in computing their transactions. Their way of computing their
transaction might not be accurate using their manual base. Possible loss might be
happen.

5.0. The Proposed System.
5.1. System Overview.
Yambao Funeral Service System is a system for Yambao Funeral Service is a
system that contains all the information needed by the administrator regarding their
clients. This also includes the different transactions that will be done between their clients
and employees. This system also allows the administrator monitor the status of their
business in a short period of time.
5.2 Data Specification

The Splash screen will appear first before the users have an access to the system. After the user
already logged in he can view the Main Menu containing the Client Profile, Costing, Payment and
Reports. The Client Profile contains the basic information about the customers and to the deceased
person. Costing is all about the outlay of the expenditures selected by the customer and the Payment is
the amount of expenditures that is needed to pay by the client. Reports is a formal record of our sales

This will appear before the user can access to the system.

LOG IN
Here, the user will enter his or her username and password for him to enter the system.

MAIN MENU
It contains CLIENT PROFILE, COSTING, PAYMENT, REPORT, and SIGN OUT.

CLIENT PROFILE
Here, the user will fill up the following informations needed by the admin then click ok. After
clicking ok, it will automatically go to COSTING. Incase the user has an existing information, the user
may search it on the search box above.

COSTING
Here, the user will first, choose either LLP (Libreng Libing Program) or CUSTOMIZE. If
they will choose LLP the P8000 will automatically appear that will be paid by the client. And, if the
user will choose CUSTOMIZE the user will choose what CASKETS, FUNERAL COUCH and
FLOWERS they want to buy. After the user choose, the total amount will appear on the screen and
click SAVE. After clicking SAVE, it will automatically go to payment. And if there is an error or
the user click the wrong checkbox they can correct it using the edit button above.

PAYMENT
The payment is the official reciept that contains all the informations that is filled up by the user.

REPORT
Here, the user will enter the date.
After entering the date, transactions that occured on that date will appear.
