PLOT

It narrates the life of a man with a slight mental retardation, who naively performs many feats
and who despite his problems walking (in childhood) and others manages to achieve success in
everything he undertook.

He was a decorated soldier, he had great ping pong skills, he became a millionaire by chance by
fulfilling the dream of having a shrimp boat for his best friend Bubba.

In his life, he met celebrities like Elvis Presley, John Lennon, naively or by chance, and
uncovered the Watergate scandal. It tells of his deep love for Jenny, the best friend and mother of
his only son.
MY POINT OF VIEW

It's a great movie, starting with its 6 Oscars for best movie, director and leading actor, plus three
Golden Globes among others.

It is a well-told film that mixes the harshness of life with comic situations. In a particular way, he
mixes fiction with events in the modern history of the United States.
