IT APPLICATION TOOLS IN BUSINESS
SY 2019-2020

Credit : 3 units
Prerequisites : None
Time Allotment : 54 Hours (including quizzes and periodic examinations)

I. Course Description:

This IT application tools in business course is primarily concerned in introducing business supporting tools/software’s to the students. The objective is to develop a working knowledge
of the basic principles and impact of technology in a working environment. It covers a comprehensive approach on how to use office productivity software’s and an accounting information
system. It provides the students with knowledge of the Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and the SAP Business One.

3. To inculcate the values of integrity and objectivity and develop proper disciplines in solving business problems;
4. To actively involve students and faculty members in research activities relevant to accountancy education; and
5. To encourage participation and provide opportunities for community extension service among its faculty, staff, and students.

a. Determine the impact of Information Technology in Business;


b. Use and operate office productivity tools/softwares; and
c. Use an accounting information system for process and record handling of business operations.
