ANS: A transfer function represents the relationship between the output signal of a
control system and the input signal, for all possible input values. A block diagram is a
visualization of the control system which uses blocks to represent the transfer function,
and arrows which represent the various input and output signals.

The significance in Linear Control System is that it can transform complex differential and
Integral Equations into simple and easy algebraic equations
Ans) A feedback control system is a system whose output is controlled using its
measurement as a feedback signal. This feedback signal is compared with a
reference signal to generate an error signal which is filtered by a controller to
produce the system's control input.

The effects of Feedback is that it reduces the overall gain of a system with the degree
of reduction being related to the systems open-loop gain. Negative feedback also
has effects of reducing distortion, noise, sensitivity to external changes as well as
improving system bandwidth and input and output impedances.

Ans: the order of the system is defined by the no of independent energy storage
elements in the system and intuitively by the

highest order of the linear differential equation that describes the system. In a
transfer function representation, the order is the

highest exponent in the transfer function. Both order and type of the system are
independent to no of zeros of transfer function.
