THE MOON.

The moon is part of the SOLAR SYSTEM and it is the second brightest object
in the sky after the sun. THE moon is nearer the earth than the sun.

The moon is the satellite of the earth .The moon gets its light from the sun.
The influence of the moon on the earth is noticed on the OCEAN TIDES and
OCEAN CURRENTS.

THE moon comes out only at night and we see the moon when the weather
is clear .
THE DIFFERENT PHASES OF THE MOON.
The moon starts coming out in different
shapes from ;
1-New Moon.
2-Half Moon.
3-Full Moon.
4-First Quarter Moon.
5-Third Quarter Moon.
6-Old Moon.
HALF MOON.
-It takes 29 to 30 days for the moon to complete its
cycle round the earth .The movement of the earth
and the moon round the sun results at times to
eclipse.
- The first man to land on the moon was Neil
Armstrong. He was followed twenty minutes later by
Buzz Aldrin and Micheal Collin in 1969. Their mission
was called the Apollo ii Mission .
They were all American Astronauts . Now many
countries like Russia, Japan, China, India, Britain
France have sent Astronauts to the moon.
