HOW TO GET INTO ALMOST EVERY BRANCH OF THE AUDIO INDUSTRY

1. FOCUS, STICK TO IT, FOCUS, STICK TO IT, FOCUS ... AND STICK TO IT

Stay focused and don't pay attention to the (especially) negative opinions of people. Unless it is constructive criticism, don't let them
talk you down!
Stick to it and aim head first and full throttle towards that huge and seemingly unbreakable wall!
Be aware that the best things happen outside your comfort zone
Also be aware that a professional may have failed more than an aspiring composer has ever tried

2. BUILD LONG TERM RELATIONSHIPS

Erase money and potential upcoming gigs from your mind
Pay attention and try to build long term relationships with the people you want to work with or for
It is obvious that later on, your potential employer will provide you with work and pay you for that - just don't make this your
priority!
Make use of understatement and don't talk about your work all the time
Be aware that you are about to build a steady work relationship with someone. It should be about

3. THE GENERAL ATTITUDE

Always keep in mind that employers presuppose that someone is a skilled professional.
Stand out from the crowd by being the charismatic and reliable person!

4. SOCIAL NETWORKS
It is easy to get in contact with someone via social networks - at the same time it is also easy to mess up the first contact
Once you got connected with someone, don't promote your work like some cheap salesman
There is a person behind that profile picture, not some random springboard to launch your career

5. BE PATIENT BUT DON'T BE SELECTIVE

No matter HOW you can get into the audio industry - DO IT! You can later on decide which way you want to go!
Be patient and keep in mind that there is no fast way or some If-I-only-could-start-over-moment ... and it doesn't matter to think
about it - it is always NOW!
