ACTIVITY 2: APPROACHING: PRESENT CONTINUOUS ARRANGEMENTS

We can use the present continuous to talk about arrangements (plans which you have organised) in the future.
The grammar structure is: verb to be: I’m… You’re… He’s/She’s/It’s… We’re… They’re… + verb + ing

Even after being so tentative you can expect two
kinds of responses:

Accepting an Invitation Refusing an Invitation

If your invitation has been rejected you can go on
suggesting another time or another activity, or you
can give up and say something like:
What a pity! Another time perhaps.
I’m so sorry. It would have been so good to spend
some time together.
If you are lucky enough and they have accepted your
invitation, just go on to fix a date (time, place):
Great! Let’s meet at 4 at my place.
