Falgel™70
DESCRIPTION
Falgel™70 is a fine particle size attapulgite clay. It provides excellent sag and syneresis
control as well as superior anti-settling properties and reduces roller spatter in aqueous
coatings. It is recommended for use in various water based coating systems including
satin, semi-gloss and gloss coatings. It is not recommended for use in solvent based

INCORPORATION AND USAGE

Falgel™70 can be incorporated as a powder or as a pre-gel. Add either powder or pre-gel to the
grind stage and disperse with the pigments for full thixotropic development.
Typical usage level is 0.3 % to 1.0% of total formula weight. When used in addition to
cellulosics and associative thickeners, Falgel™70 provides the low shear viscosity required to
improve sag in high build applications and to provide settling and syneresis control.
Recommended applications include water based systems such as:
● Satin, semi-gloss, gloss latex paints
● Adhesives, sealants & caulks
● Roof, masonry & floor coatings
● Foundry coatings
