Suggested Degree Plan Speech/PE Option
Richland College provides this degree 100% online with the approval of the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, our accrediting agency. This degree pathway is a
suggested sequence of courses for full-time students that meets the requirements for the Texas Success
Initiative Assessment (TSI). The courses marked with a # sign can be substituted with other
courses. Please work with your advisor to make changes to the degree plan and for part-time options.
The Associate in Arts in Teaching Degree Leading to Initial Texas Teacher Certification in Foreign
Language has two options; this plan includes speech and PE. There is another plan available that
includes foreign language.
