Charles McLaughlin
Marketing manager
Dunwoody Nature Center

Dear Mr. McLaughlin:

I am applying for the Marketing Intern position within the Dunwoody Nature Center. My
experiences in marketing, communication and the environmental sciences make this position
one that suits my skill set very well.

This position requires experience in marketing and excellent communication skills. As a Senior
Mass Communications student at Georgia College, I have been able to work with clients from
my college town to rebrand, market their services in a more efficient manner and create detailed
social media plans. I have also worked hands-on with business owners to strategize advertising
plans.

I have greatly advanced my interpersonal communication skills by working face to face with
clients of differing backgrounds. My experience as a recruitment intern with Princeton Mortgage
taught me how to communicate professionally with others in the workplace. I also have
experience in customer service, which has taught me how to always talk to others in an uplifting
manner.

The position calls for strong writing skills. I have taken strategic writing courses and learned how
to write for a brand or company. Writing for the school newspaper also greatly improved my
writing skills and taught me how to interview, interact and communicate with others.

Care for the environment has always been one of my biggest passions. I am happiest when I
am outdoors and surrounded by nature. Therefore, I think that I would be a perfect pick for a
Marketing Intern due to my attachment to nature, my work experiences, educational background
and skill set in writing, marketing and communications.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you.

Sincerely,

Gaige Gagnon
