A 6-day national workshop was held from August 24-29, 2020 to teach C programming and Python basics to students and faculty. Over the course, students learned the logic and programming constructs needed to create C programs and applications, and to easily transition to other languages. Quizzes at the end assessed their learning from the sessions led by four Assistant Professors, which provided a complete introduction to C programming for beginners.

Programming and Python for Beginners
The workshop was conducted to provide complete knowledge of C language. It started on
24th Aug 2020 and went on till 29th Aug 2020. Students were able to develop logics which helped them to create programs, applications in C. Also by learning the basic programming constructs they can easily switch over to any other language in future. The workshop was organized for students and faculty of various colleges throughout the state. Students willing to learn C- programming and basics of Python programming attended the session. Quizzes were conducted towards the end to assess the learning from the workshop. The sessions were handled by Ms. Lincy Mathews, Ms Prathima M N, Ms. Sunitha R S and Mr. Koushik S, working as Assistant Professors in the Department of Information Science and Engineering.
