In the first week of student teaching remotely due to COVID-19, the student faced issues finding a school for their placement and had to complete alternative tasks instead, including creating 10-12 lesson plans. The education department divided the students into groups of 9 for support. The student's first two English and Science lesson plans were observed by Dr. Neil and positive feedback was provided to help improve future lessons.

I am a student in semester seven which is my graduation year in my college career. On 8
November 2020 is my first week of teaching remotely but without having children. To be honest, I faced an issue this semester the reason is, I choose a school and they rejected me because they could not have a student teacher in their building, furthermore, COVID-19 make the situation tough the reason is they should keep a particular number of staff in the school. Dr. Slim and all the facilities of education did a Zoom meeting with all the students they don’t place in schools. They suggest doing alternative tasks for us which we should explain 10 – 12 lesson plan and other tasks that include different information that we should complete, education department divided us into groups and each group has nine members, my group members are friendly and support, motivate each other, at this time we should pretend that we are students. All of us will be evaluated four times, two times from mentor college teacher and two times from colleagues. On 11 November 2020 Dr. Neil observed me with the first English lesson plan it was about (Proper and Common nouns), besides, the feedback from Dr. Neil was a very great and good evaluation of my teaching remotely. On 15 November 2020, Dr. Neil observed me with the second and last lesson plan it was Science (Animals live in groups). I noticed that the students have a misconception of why the animals should live in groups, but they have the knowledge of the names of the animals. At the end of the lesson, I used positive reinforcement by giving all the pupils a class Dojo of participating and be on task. The feedback from Dr. Neil was good and helpful for the next time of any lesson plans.
