SOFTWARE
ORIENTATION
The View Tab
• Word offers several different ways to
view a document, locate text or objects
quickly, and operate windows.
• After opening a document, you can
access related commands on the View
tab, shown in Figure 2-1.

Document Views:
a. Opening an Existing

1) Click the File tab to open Backstage.

5) Use the scroll bar and scroll down and
locate the data files for this lesson on

Word has five document view options:
❑ Print Layout is the default view. It displays the document as

to create and edit your document.

• Clipboard group
• It is often necessary to copy or move text from one
location in a document and place it in another.
• When you use the copy or cut command, the Clipboard
stores the items for you to paste in another location of the
document or another Office file.
