There is three level of education in physical therapy.

Bachelor of Physical Therapy (BPT): An undergrad course of three to four years.

Master of Physical Therapy (MPT): A postgrad course of two years.
Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT): A doctorate course of five years.

BPT and MPT are not write doctor with their name because they are not getting doctorate level
degree.
According to Pakistan Physical therapy association DPT is doctorate level degree and students of
DPT write Doctor with their name.

Is MCAT required for DPT?

No, MCAT is not required for DPT admission. There is only 60 % marks required in Fsc Medical.
MCAT is just required for MBBS and BDS admissions.
Is DPT equivalent to MBBS?
DPT is not equal to MBBS and BDS but it is same degree level program. You cannot apply for
surgeon and physician job but you are doctor in the area of specialization.
You can apply for specialization in different subjects and different fields like neuro physical
therapy, musculoskeletal physiotherapy etc.

What is the requirement for admission in DPT?

Dpt is five years program.

Eligibility for admission: -
Minimum score of 60% in pre medical (FSC) in Pakistan.

IBCC Equivalence for foreign education system (A-Level/12th Grade) with minimum 60% marks.

Admission offered once in a year.

Scope of Dpt In Pakistan

According to my research the scope of DPT is in every big city of Pakistan like Lahore, Islamabad,
Karachi, Multan, Peshawar, Vehari, and others. It is because peoples do not know how about DPT.

I think in coming years it spread in other cities and it will have definitely very high scope in Pakistan.

Now government have advertised 3 to 4 post in government hospitals. According to the ranking of
last 5 years of highly paid and healthy jobs PT ranked 2nd worldwide.
