• The ERA Riser Blue is pointing true bearing
270°, but relative to the BOP Orientation: 340°

SETTINGS:
• In the Well Data, set BOP Orientation: 290°
• Set ERA Riser Blue Orientation Rel. Base: 340°
• Set ERA Riser Yellow Orientation Rel. Base: 000°
ERA Riser Blue
• Set ERA BOP Blue Biased Orientation: 290°

Automatic Calibration of sensors

Instead of manually entering X,Y-Biases for the sensors, another method

is to let the DP do an Automatic Calibration.
If using the Automatic Calibration, make sure the BOP with all
equipment is in a stable situation.
You then enter the correct real inclination for the Riser and BOP and real
orientation for BOP.
When you push the “Start Calibration” button, the DP system will read
the X,Y-measurements, find the errors and set these as Biases into the
sensor dialogs.

• Set BOP Orientation
• Set Calibration Period
• Select sensors to be calibrated
• Click Start Calibration
