them in order to prevent suicide and further damage. Enlightening the general public about these mental illnesses,
the stigma the lack of understanding can cause and how to accommodate individuals with mental illnesses.

 Create awareness about mental illnesses, how to manage them and how to manage people with
them.

 Creating awareness about of risk of stigmatization on mentally ill individuals

The Proposal

In order to eradicate the issues associated with mental health, the general public, both young and old need to be
addressed constantly on the issue. They should be aware that individual with mental illnesses are no different from
people with any other type of illness. They should be treated with respect and encouragement which would motivate
them to seek help when need and prevent them from self-harm and suicide. Individuals should be taught to address
mentally ill people by their names and not illnesses and also how to accommodate them. By learning about the
various kinds of mental illnesses, they would have a different perspective about it which would reduce the stigma and
bullying. These awareness programs should be included in school curriculums as well as company handbooks.

By creating fliers and organizing outreach programs, we hope to enlighten the general public about the risks of
