INTRODUCTION

The development of the internet has led to the adding of a lot of concepts starting with

“e-“ to our lives. E-mail, e-shopping, e-banking, e-commerce, e-government, e-signatures and e-

learning are leading concepts among them. Google Play Book App with growing reader/user

population are a book format that most of us have heard and used a lot lately because of their

long-standing history and the widespread use of information technologies. With different

definitions in the various sources, the e-book definition pertinent to this study is that of an

electronic format digitizing one or more printed books or a content completely produced in

electronic environment that can be displayed, accessed, published on a desktop computer, on any

hand-held device with screen or in any custom-designed electronics. They will of necessity

include a book reader hardware and rich text features software (adding bookends, text marking,

note taking, etc.) to allow for the same functions performed during traditional reading. Google

Play Book App can be read with numerous devices and tools. Such as Iriver eBook Reader,

Oblio E-Book Plus, Kindle, ReederLITE, reedPAD2, eInk as well as desktops, tablet computers,

iPhones and iPads, Blackberry’s, mobile phones, and navigation devices. Some portable music

players and Nintendo DS gaming consoles, can also be used to read e-books (URL 1).. For this

reason, having knowledge and experience in the use of ebooks for student-teachers, who are

training to become teachers, is important. The study thus looked for answers to such issues as

whether student-teachers read e-books; the relationship of this situation between the different

divisions in which they are studying and the role gender plays; reasons and preferences for

reading or for not reading e-books or printed books, and whether the preferences change in line

with gender and their subject specialism.

LITERATURE REVIEW

A. The Evaluation of Learning

Learning as defined by psychologist, is acquiring new or modifying and

reinforcing existing knowledge, behaviors, skills, values, or preferences and may involve

synthesizing different types of information. Human learning may occur as part of

education, personal development, schooling, or training. It may be goal-oriented and may

be aided by motivation. Also learning is understanding and recalling all the information

one has gathered may be through experience or other forms thereof. This is where

comprehension and retention becomes as a part of human learning. In addition, reading is

also learning; w
hen one reads something out of a book or other materials, he/she learns something out of

it.

B. The New Age of Google Play Book App

A google book app search can be performed through google play, helping users

discover top bestselling ebooks available for purchase, as well as plenty of free Google

Books App for download. Users can download Google books numerous mobile devices,

have their ebooks synced across devices, so users can start reading a book on their phone

apart from competing ebook readers apps like kindle. Google Books App is the android

equivalent to Apples Ibook.

C. Attempt to analyze students, feedback regarding the presentation of Google Play

investigated the students preference for page and content design of Google Book App.

Three e selected in portable document format, which differ in contents, appearance and

E. Uses and Gratification Approach

Uses and Gratification approach Niche Gratification Theory is informed by the

Uses and Gratifications approach, and so this approach will be discussed in a brief,

general way here. The Uses and Gratifications approach comes out of classical effects

research. The creation of Uses and Gratifications answered a need to explain motivations

for use, and functions of, the mass media. It was thought that media’s limited effects on

audiences could be better discerned by more thoroughly understanding the purposes

individuals had in using media (McQuail, 2011). Most relevant to Niche Gratification

Theory, the Uses and Gratifications approach suggests that people purposefully search

out certain types of media to fulfill specific needs. Uses and Gratifications researchers

also analyze what people do with different media formats (Pietilä, 2005), and the results

of studies using this approach explain how media can be better used for public

understanding. Early on, Uses and Gratifications researchers found that the audience has

an active role in selecting media for their own advantages and that they hold the reins on

usage, as opposed to the media entities themselves (Katz, Haas, & Gurevitch, 1973). The

media uses were categorized into five purposes:

(1) cognitive — the need for information, knowledge and understanding;

(2) affective — the need to strengthen aesthetic, pleasurable and emotional

experiences;

(3) personal — strengthening credibility, confidence, stability and status;

(4) social — strengthening contact with family, friends and the world; and

(5) tension release — the weakening of contact with self and one’s social roles.

The five categories highlight two broad types of needs: personal and social. This

is explained by the fact that generally, people use the media for self-gain or to

increase their social standing as viewed by others.

media use, which are based on the respondents’ personal assessments and not observations of

their behavior, and therefore surveys were appropriate for the present study.

The sample
The Selected students of Grade 7 is the population for the survey was a convenience

sample of Selected students in Canumay West Naational High School, kaypandan Canumay

West Valenzuela City. These are mostly young people and so they are likely to be familiar with

the technology of an emerging market. Junior High School students frequently use new

technologies in completing assignments, so they would more likely be comfortable with the

devices and familiar enough with them to answer the questions . Students also use Google Book

satisfied by the Google Book App to enhancing the reading skills through the app from the

selected students.
Data Collection

After selecting a specific students for the study. The researchers also collect data from

the students survey from selected students of Grade 7 Canumay West National High School.

Aside from the above, researchers also collect data from the respondents who answered the

questionnaire prepared by researchers and the data from questionnaire is Students information

Analysis

. The data was then analyzed through charts and graphs to see where the majority of

people fell in this debate. The majority of the questions required the participant to choose from a
