The wiper arms have a push in tab at the

very bottom at the fitting that is pressed
into the wiper linkage below the screen.
Use a flat headed screwdriver to pry out the
tab. Once out the arm can be pulled right
off. Now you can remove the cowling
screen

How do I change wiper blades

1 2001 Chevy blazer
Answer Open the cap at the end of the
windshield wiper arm
at the cowl of the Blazer. This will
reveal the bolt that secures the
wiper arm to the wiper linkage.
Unbolt the wiper arm using a 3/8-
inch ratchet and socket. Place the
bolt to the side, as you will reuse it
later.
Pull the wiper arm up at the blade
so that the blade of the wiper is
pointing into the air. Then pull at the
base of the arm, wiggling it slightly.
It's a keyed gear, so it may take a
little bit of work to break it free, but
with the right amount of wiggling, it
will disengage.
