Two. Application and Features


The machine is our company's pinpoint product which bases on absorbing the essence

of the equipment of same kind, it's adapted to copper tube aligning and tube cutting

with length setting in the coure of manufacturing heat exchanger equipment. Because

the machine possesses the pulling apart device, so the deforming rate of the processed

tube end is small and it has no thorns like stuff and chip, etc. The electrical

controlling part adapts the Mitsubishi's programable logic controller (PLC) for

controlling, it's highly automated, fast, precise and reliable, convenient to operate,

stable to feed. Machine is aesthetic and easy to adjust. It's main features are as the

following:

1. High degree of automation. When there is no tube or the counting of cutting reach

to the pre-set, it may stop automatically and alarm.

2. Easy and convenient maintenance. The pneumatic componets work as the

controlling parts, it has only a few lubrication points and no pollution, it’s fast and

convenient to replace the machine partrs and easy to maintain clean.

3. Simple and convenient operation. Machine runs on the automatic mode and

manual mode, operator runs the machine on the touch screen, it’s easy to learn

and understand.

4. Great range of length setting. There are one time, two times and three times

feeding modes to satisfy great range of different lengths of tube cutting.

5. Mchine runs stably and has high degree of cutting precision and low noise.

6. It’s fast to install the coil tube and change the tubes, the tube releasing adopts the

way of passive releasing with the pneumatic brake device to prevent over releaing of

the tube plate and that affects the cutting quality.

Three. Major technical parameters


The maximum length for cutting: 1200 mm

The minimum length for cutting: 300 mm

The tube cutting speed is no less than (800mm / piece) 12 pieces / minute

The maximum thickness for the cut tube: 1 mm

The cutting length tolerance is less than: 0.5 mm

The inner diameter cutting deformation is less than: 0.3 mm

Four. Installation and Use


1. Place the machine on the level and solid ground, the tube releasing frame is

suggested to be placed 1 to 1.5 m apart from machine’s main part and then fix the

machine’s main part, the tube releasing shelf and the tube receiving shelf with

expansion bolts.

2. Check if there is lubrication grease in every lubricatrion point.

3. Check if the tightening nut of the hob cutter of the cutter head is loosening.

4. The tube comes out and passes through the nylon catheter sheath, aligning device,

feed clamping wheel, detectin pressure roller and the cutter head to reach the forming

mould.

5. Turn on the power then the main controlling switch.

7. Cut the first tube manually and adjust the degree of cutting.

8. Convert the manual mode to the automatic mode and machine automatically moves

to cut.

Six. Equipment Structure Explanation

1. The aligning mechanism (see figure 1): The position of the aligning wheels had
been adjusted by the manufacturer before shipment and customers usually do not
need to adjust, appoint an experienced worker to adjust it if there is necessity. (It also
need to be replaced when changing the tube specification)

2. The feeding mechanism (see figure 2)
The feed pinch roller (in charge of) spins driven by the servo morto, the cylinder
compresses the follower pinch roller tightly to guarantee that the tube and the feed
pinch roller would not skid, controlling the tube feeding length by the pinch roller’s
rolling which is controlled by the servo motor. (It also need to be replaced when
changing the tube specification)

3. The cutter feed mechanism (figure 3)
3.1 The cutting principle
The cutting cylinder moves the cutter pushing board and the push lever fixing base
above it moves to the left, so the FS moves to the left driven by the push lever, the FP
sheath makes the cutter head column’s push lever and the hob push lever move
through the front cone stuff, after the push wheel attaching the tube tightly, the push
lever feeds to cut tube continuously, so the FP sheath’s OP and the left moving
distance determine the cutter’s feed amount.
3.2 Adjustment of the cutter’s feed amount
Rotate the adjusting screw to move the push lever fixing base and the push lever
moves forward or backward 1 mm by 1 circle rotation, so the cutter’s feed amount is
adjusted.

4. The feeding length detection mechanism (see figure 4)

The rotating encoder is connected to the end of the pinch roller to detect the tube’s

straight line feeding length through the pulse outputting signal from the rotating

encoder. It compares the detecting length and the servo motor feeding length and

machine runs normally when it’s within the tolerance, otherwise it alarms with

prompting.

The forming cylinder limit screw: controlling the size and shape of the dummy club.

The adjusting screw between the gap of the upper and lower clamping mould:

adjusting the gap between the upper and lower clamping mould, the gap is required to

be smaller than the outer diameter of the capillary tubes.

The gap between the large and small mould: adjust the stop block’s position basing

on the different diameters of the capillary tubes to control the gap size (It’s a general

rule that the tube diameter ≤ 3.0, gap is 3.5~4 mm; tube diameter ≥ 3.0, gap ≤ 4~5

mm)

5. Raising and the snapping mechanism

The tube is not needed to be cut off after being cut by the cutter head but is to be

snapped off between the clamping moulds, so it ensures that the minimum

deformation of the inner holes of tubes. The size and shape of the dummy club is

controlled through adjusting the forming cylinder spacing screw, the tubes are sent to

the receiving shelf through the drop guide tube after the tube raising.

Seven. Operation Procedures
1. Operation panel explanation
The machine operation panel is as displayed on figure 1. The power ON and OFF are
controlled by the red button and green button above the letters of Power, machine is
on the starting state when the green button is pressed, the power is off and machine is
in the shutdown state when the red button is pressed.
Press down the Emergency Stop button when there is an accident and all of machine’s
movements will be stopped, the touch screen displays 1、紧急停止开关按下, 请检查
(1. The emergency stop switch has been pressed, please check). Now all of the
operation can not be run.
Choose the operation mode by pressing the operation mode selection switch, there are
manual and automatic positions.
Start the automatic running with the Auto button.
The 自 动 暂 停 (pause in the automatic mode) button is for pause during the
automatic running.
Enter into the menu as figure 2 directly from the touch screen when machine is turned
on, the machine name and the manufacturer are shown on the manu, it enters into the
corresponding menu bases on the current operation mode switch after a few seconds.

1. Manual operation explanation


When the operation mode switch goes to manual position, machine enters into the

manual operation and the touch screen displays the manu as the figure 3. The

following menu is the manual operation menu of device #1.

The functions of every button on the figure 3 are as the following:

设定 (setting): The button for entering into the parameter setting menu, press the

button and the touch screen displays the setting 1 menu as the figure

7.

A 组手动 (A set manual): Showing that the #A devices is currently being operated on

(devices that are close to the the operation box).

B 组 (B set): Press the button and the touch screen displays the operation menu of #B

devices as shown on the figure 5.

设定长度 (setting length): The numerical value behind it may be set. Press the

numerical value and the touch screen will show a keyboard as is

shown on figure 4. Press the Feed button after setting the numerical

value and the tube comes out in the set length. (Please refer to Four.

Data Setting behind for the specific setting method)

Current length: Showing the length of tubes which is sent out, it may be resetted by

pressing the length resetting button, or set the setting length and

then press the Feed, it will reset then restart counting.

Length reset: Press the length reset button and the current length goes to zero.

Alarm: Press the button and the touch screen displays the alarm menu as the figure

16.

Feed: Press the button after setting the length, tubes will be sent out as the setting

length.

Feed-: The feeding return button. Press the button and the tube moves backward until

the button is loosened.

Feed+: The feeding forward moving button. Press the button and the tube moves

forward until the button is loosened.

料盘刹车 (coil plate brake): The button for tube brake / loosening. When the coil

plate brake cylinder is in the stretching brake state, press the button

and the cylinder withdraws the coil plate, it may move freely and

the button is shown black. When the coil plate brake cylinder is in

the withdrawing state, press the button and the cylinder stretches

out, the brake coil plate can not move and the button is shown

white.

Feed compression: The feeding compression / loosening button. When the feeding

compression cylinder is in the stretching compression state, press

the button and the cylinder withdraws and loosens, the button is

shown black. When the cylinder is withdrawing and loosening,

press the button and the cylinder stretches out and compresses.

Cut: The button for the forward / backward cutting. Whe the forward cutting cylinder

is in the withdrawing position, press the button and the forward

cutting cylinder stretches out to cut and the button is shown black

color simultaneously. When the cutting cylinder is in the cutting

state, press the button and the cylinder withdraws and loosens.

Hydraulic motor: The hydraulic motor starting / stop button. When the hydraulic

motor is in the stop state, press the button and the hydraulic motor

starts to run, the button is shown black color simultaneously. When

the hydraulic motor is in the running state, press the button and the

hydraulic motor stops running.

Spray Oil: The oil spray goes on / off button. When the oil spray is in the off state,

press the button and the oil spray goes on and the button is shown

black color simultaneously. When the oil spray is going on, press

the button and the oil spray goes off.

Forming Clamp: The button for the forming compression oil cylinder compresses /

loosens. When the forming compression oil cylinder is in the

loosening state, press the button and the oil cylinder compresses,

the button is shown black color simultaneously. When the oil

cylinder is in the compressing state, press the button and the oil

cylinder loosens.

Snap: The button for the snap oil cylinder moves forward / backward. When the snap

oil cylinder is in the withdrawing state, press the button and the

snap oil cylinder moves forward, the button is shown black color

simultaneously. When the snap oil cylinder is in the forward

moving state, press the button and the snap oil button withdraws.

Cutting motor: The button for the cutter head’s starting / stopping. Press the button

when the cutter head motor stops and the motor starts running, the

button is shown black color. When the cutter head motor is in the

running state, press the button and the motor stops.

On the manual operation menu of the #A device as shown on the figure 3, press the B

set button on the top right corner and the B set manual operation menu as shown on

the figure 5 is displayed.

On the B set devices manual operation menu as is shown on the figure 5, press the A

set button and the menu displays the A set manual operation menu as shown on the

figure 3. The other button acts the same as the A set devices button, only it is operated

on the B set devices.

3. The automatic operation explanation

When the operation mode switch goes to the automatic position, the touch screen

displays the automatic operation menu as shown on the figure 5.

On the automatic menu as shown on the figure 6, press the speed button and the touch

screen displays the speed and the other parameter setting menu as shown on the

figure 16, press the Set button and the touch screen displays the parameter setting

menu as shown on the figure 7. The info under the A set on the left side displays the

automatic state and the set info of the A set devices.

Stop: There are conditions of running and stopping. When it displays Run, the A set

devices choose the automatic running. Press the automatic running button now and

the A set devices start running, press the Run button when it is displaying Run, it

becomes Stop and indicates that the A set devices stop. When the button is pressed

and becomes Stop during the automatic running, the devices stop only the snapping is

automatically run. The devices stop and it displays Stop, now the devices can not start

to run by pressing the Auto run button, only press the Stop button and when it

displays Run, the automatic running may be conducted.

Length setting: The feeding length which is to be set.

The current length: The length of the sent out tubes.

Count: The counter. The Reset beside is the resetting button of the current counting of

the counter. When the counting equals to the set one, machine stops

running.

The info displays under the B set on the right side functions as same as the left side

one.

4. The data setting

On the operation menu of A set manual as shown on the figure 3, press the Set button

on the top left corner and the touch screen displays the Set 1 menu as shown on the

figure 7.

On the Set 1 menu as shown on figure 7, the Exit button on the top left corner is for

exiting the setting menu, when the button is pressed, the touch screen displays the A

set manual operation menu as shown on the figure 3. The Page Down button on the

bottom right is for turning to the next set menu, the following is the explanation of

every item on the figure 7.

Program No |###: The program number of the set processing. When pressing the ###,

the screen will display a keyboard as on the figure 8. When the program is set, the 打

开 (unfolding) button unfolds the set program, the Save button on the right side

saves the set data into the set program number. The setting range is 1 ~ 100.

打开 (unfolding): Press the program button and it may unfold the set programs in the

set program number |### on the left side.

Save: Saving the set data into the set program in the program number |### on the left

side.

Item: Item content of set data.

1#: The column of A set data.

2#: The column of B set data

Tube length (mm): Setting the length of one tube, it’s the feeding length, not the

forming length.

Length revise: The ratio revising number of the length. Set up a greater number when

the actual length is less than the set numerical value, a less number

when it is greater than the set length.

Raising set: Indicate if a set of devices carry out raising.

5. Parameter setting

Press the parameter button on the automatic menu as is shown on the figure 6 and the

touch screen displays the speed and the other parameter setting menu as shown on the

figure 8.

On the Set parameter 1 menu as shown on the figure 8, the Exit button on the top left

corner is for exiting the set menu, press the button and the screen displays the Auto

operation menu as shown on the figure 6. Press the Page Down button and the screen

enters into the Set parameter 2 menu as is on figure 9. Press the Page Up button on

the Set parameter 2 as is on the figure 9 and the screen enters into the Set parameter 1

menu as shown on figure 8.

The following are the figure 8 and the explanation of the content of the figure.

Speed (mm): Setting the feeding motor speed percentage.

Length check: Set up the 校验 (check), the feeding length is decided by the

feedback data of the encoder and the setting of not checking of the

feeding length is dicided by the feedback data of the feeding motor.

Accelerating time: Setting the accelerating time of the feeding motor running

speed.

Decelerating time: Setting the decelerating time of the feeding motor running

speed.

Brake delay: Setting the delay time after the feeding stop, then the tube releasing

shelf brake cylinder moves and works.

Forward cutter time: Setting how long the forward cutter carrying out cutting then

it withdraws and resets.

Forming time: Setting how long the raising oil cylinder carrying out raising then it

withdraws and resets.

Cutter-mould center: Setting the distance between the the cutting position and the

forming mould center.

Oil spray time: The cutting oil spray quantity is decided by how long the set time

is.

4. Data checking

Press the Set button on the automatic menu as shown on the figure 6 and the touch

screen displays the product parameter set checking menu as shown on the figure 10.

The Product data menu as is shown on the figure 10 displays the set data of the

corresponding product numbers.

Press the Alarm button on the manual operation menu as shown on the figure 3 and

figure 5, it enters into the alarm info displaying menu as shown on the figure 11, or

there are circumstances as shown on the following figure during the machine’s

automatic running, the touch screen switches to the alarm info displaying menu from

the currrent menu as shown on the figure 11.

After the breakdown alarm, eliminate the breakdown base on the alarm info then

press the Exit button and the menu returns to the previous menu after first pressing

the 故障复位 (breakdown resetting) button on the menu.
