Goals for the Course

Before even starting this course, just by reading the title I knew what this course would

entail and let me tell you that I was stocked to embark on the journey. In today’s modern world

literacy is changing especially that of digital literacy. With this in mind there are some goals that

I want to have completed either throughout the semester or by the end of it. Some of these may

change and some might not.

These include:

1. By the end of the semester I want to be able to have a greater understanding of how to

teach different literacy strategies.

2. I want to find out more ways in which different literacy strategies can be applied through

various contents.

3. Throughout the semester I want to deepen my understanding of what literacy strategies

students tend to engage with the most and which ones they struggle a little more with.
