The Superior Products Company is a medium-sized manufacturing company located in the suburbs of Fresno, California
The loss of a contract bid to a Chinese competitor has forced the Superior Products management to consider next week firing fgg of
the poorest performers in the circuit board unit. This unit produced circuit boards that are sold to electronic firms. The management
wants to be sure that they have been fair in presenting an objectively based decision to the employees. The people in the unit to be
fired are listed in Table 1.
The company has evaluated these unit employees on a number of factors listed in table 1. The ratings shown are an average of

The firm cannot terminate all four workers together but has to do it one by one. ln the Rating Form below, indicate who you
will keep by putting a (K) and for the workers you are going to fire put Fl (fire first), F2 (fire second), F3 (fire third) and F4
(fire last). No need to rank the ones you are keeping.
