3. Give the expressions for cutoff frequency of TE and TM modes in circular waveguides. Justify the LOTS 5

11. (a) To propagate a 5GHz signal in a waveguide whose wall separation is 4 cm. (16) HOTS 3
i) What is the greatest number of half waves of electric filed intensity possible
between 2 conducting walls?
ii) Calculate the guide wavelength for this mode of operation?

(b) Explain in detail about construction and performance of rectangular and circular cavity (16) HOTS 3
resonator with neat diagram. Also List its applications.
