B. PRIMING/MOTIVATION
To start our lesson, I want you to meet
my friend Simon. Simon here loves giving
commands. He wants you to split into four
groups to do his commands easily and
quickly.

(The teacher flashes the mechanics of the

task on the board)

I will be Simon’s assistant. When I say,

“Simon says jump!” then, you will jump!
When I say, “Simon says shout Hurray!” you
will shout Hurray! But if I don’t say “Simon
says” first, you shall not move. Be careful,
there will be a twist because he’s very
particular with the task. You need to do the
task exactly how Simon wants it to be done.

1. Simon says walk slowly.

2. Simon says run
immediately.
3. Jump excitedly!
4. Simon says laugh loudly!
5. Smile beautifully.
