CIRCULAR
PROMULGATION OF LIST OF BANNED AND RESTRICTED DRUGS,
CHEMICALS, AND ANTIBIOTICS
Circular No. 15/2009/TT- BNN of the Minister of Agriculture and Rural development
dated March 17, 2009 promulgating the List of banned and restricted drugs, chemicals,
and antibiotics effective from May 02, 2009 is amended by the following documents:
1. Circular No. 29/2009/TT-BNNPTNT dated June 04, 2009 of the Minister of
Agriculture and Rural development on amendments to Circular No. 15/2009/TT-BNN,
which came into force from June 04, 2009.
2. Circular No. 20/2010/TT-BNNPTNT dated April 02, 2010 of the Minister of
Agriculture and Rural development on amendments to Circular No. 15/2009/TT-BNN,
which came into force from May 18, 2010.
3. Circular No. 03/2012/TT-BNNPTNT dated January 16, 2012 of the Minister of
Agriculture and Rural development on amendments to Circular No. 15/2009/TT-BNN,
which came into force from March 04, 2012.
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 01/2008/ND-CP on January 03, 2008, defining
the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of Agriculture
and Rural development;
Pursuant to the Ordinance on Veterinary Medicine 2004;
Pursuant to the Government's Decree No. 33/2005/ND-CP dated March 15, 2005 on
guidelines for the Ordinance on Veterinary Medicine;
1. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgates:
- List of chemicals and antibiotics banned from production and trading of aquaculture
products (Appendix 1)
- List of medicines, chemicals, and antibiotics banned from veterinary medicine
(Appendix 2).
- List of chemicals and antibiotics restricted from production and trading of aquaculture
products (Appendix 3)
- List of medicines, chemicals, and antibiotics restricted from veterinary medicine
(Appendix 4).
2. This Circular comes into force after 45 days from the day on which it is signed. This
Circular replaces Decision No. 07/2005/QD-BTS dated February 24, 2005 of the Minister
of Fishery promulgating the List of chemicals and antibiotics banned from production
and trading of aquaculture products; Decision no. 26/2005/QD-BTS dated August 18,
2005 of the Minister of Fishery on addition to supplementation of the list of
Fluoroquinolone antibiotics banned from production and trading of aquaculture products
exported to the USA and North America; Decision No. 41/2008/QD-BNN dated March
05, 2008 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development promulgating the List of
veterinary medicines banned and restricted in Vietnam in 2008.
3. Chief of Office, Director of Department of Animal Health, heads of relevant units;
Directors of Departments of Agriculture and Rural development of provinces,
Vietnamese and foreign entities involved in production, trading of fishery products and
veterinary medicines are responsible for the implementation of this Circular./.
