Title of Production: ‘The Bagman’

Concept: A middle-aged man down on his luck finds a bag filled with unnamed
valuables that could bring him out of financial instability. However, the bag is
owned by a group of criminals who want it back by any means necessary.

Why This Production: I wanted to make an exciting drama-thriller that was both
believable and relatable to my targeted audience. In order to make it relatable,
I made the protagonist their age. In order to add a mystery element to this as
well, the entirety of the film will be shot from the perspective of the valuables.

I plan to place material above the camera

to mimic the view of something inside of
a bag. Fabric will cover the top and
bottom of the lens, giving the illusion an
object’s (e.g. a stack of money, jewellery
etc) point-of-view.

Deadline: Friday 15th January 2021

Target Audience: 40 – 60 Year Olds

What They Want to See: My targeted audience will want to see a leading role
of their age, something that isn’t as common; as previously stated my
protagonist will be played by a middle-aged actor.

What I’m Creating (based on research): An interesting story that a middle-aged

audience will relate to.

Where it Will be Aired: I will be promoting the short film on Facebook, as that
is the most popular social media within my targeted audience.
