Discharge Pressure
Pressure at the exit of the pump
Elastomer Code
Identification of the elastomer type combined with an identifier for the specific elastomer
formulation. Elastomer type is identified to accordingly to common elastomer standards such as,
Nitrile Elastomer (MN or HN), Hydrogenated Nitrile Elastomer (HNBR), or Fluoro Elastomer
(FKM). The identifier to the specific elastomer formulation or compound is as per
supplier/manufacturer specification.
Fluid Temperature
The temperature of the functional test fluid
Friction Torque
Resistance to rotation the rotor (inside the stator) that is dependent upon factors including (but
not exclusive to), pump geometry and interference fit between rotor and stator. Typically can
only be determined through measurement during operation or function testing at zero pressure
differential, or by subtracting the calculated actual hydraulic torque from the total torque.
Functional Test
The performance testing standard or requirement to which the product was verified to in order to
satisfy specific required performance criteria based on application conditions specified by the
user/purchaser. For each application, the users/purchasers require information that allows them
to a) verify the functionality of the pumps delivered by suppliers/manufacturers; b) determine the
suitability of each pump for each specific application.
ISO F1: functional hydraulic test.
ISO F2: functional evaluation without bench testing.
As per supplier/manufacturer specification.
Geometry Configuration
The model cross sectional profile defined by the ratio of lobes on the rotor to lobes on the stator,
1:2 = single lobe, 2:3 = multi-lobe.
Head
Pressure created by a given height (or depth) of water column at its bottom end, expressed as
“foot head” or “meter head”. It is independent of the amount of water, the pressure head of a 10
foot high 2 inch diameter pipe is the same as that of a 10 foot high 2 foot diameter pipe.
1 psi = 0.703 m H2O
1 psi = 2.307 ft H2O

Identifier
A sequence of characters used to identify or refer to an element, such as the model, options, or
configurations, within the product; may change or be modified over the life of the product if the
product changes.
Identifier (Pump): WFT 15-1400-MN116 111566-155124 XXXP 150-30
Unique Identifier: 111566-155124
Inlet Pressure

ISO
The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an independent, non-governmental
international organization. Through its members, it brings together experts to share knowledge
and develop voluntary, consensus-based, market relevant International Standards that support
innovation and provide solutions to global challenges. International Standards give world-class
specifications for products, services and systems, to ensure quality, safety and efficiency. They
are instrumental in facilitating international trade.
ISO 15136
Applicable to those products meeting the definition of progressing cavity pumps (PCP) included
in ISO 15136-1 and ISO 15136-2.
ISO 15136-1
Provides requirements for the design, design verification and validation, manufacturing and data
control, performance ratings, functional evaluation, repair, handling and storage of progressing
cavity pumps for use in the petroleum and natural gas industry. Connections to the drive string
and tubulars are not covered in ISO 15136-1:2009. ISO 15136-1 establishes requirements for
characterization and testing of stator elastomer material, design validation and functional
evaluation and provides information for PCP elastomer selection and testing, installation, start-up
and operation guidelines, equipment selection and application guidelines, functional specification
form, used pump evaluation, drive string selection and use, repair and reconditioning procedures
and auxiliary equipment. Equipment not covered by the requirements of ISO 15136-1 includes
bottom-drive systems except for the PCP components, drive-string components and auxiliary
equipment such as tag bars, gas separators and torque anchors.

integral by design, includes bottom drive systems, sucker rods, polished rod clamps, stuffing
boxes, electrical controls, instrumentation, external power transmission devices, auxiliary
equipment, such as belts, sheaves and equipment guards.
Major Repair
Any activity beyond the scope of retesting that includes machining, welding, straightening,
recoating, or other manufacturing operations that restore the equipment to its original
performance.
Max Pressure
Maximum discharge pressure the pump achieved during functional testing when operated at a
flow rate of 0, result may be limited by functional testing equipment.
