Every nationality has it’s own custom, traits, characteristics, values,

attitudes and beliefs that were inherited from their great ancestors. they need
the possession of uniqueness as a nation. Filipino people are one in all the only
nations within the world. they need their own norms and manners. Until now,
those traits are still alive and most of it's continuously transferring to the
subsequent generations. Filipinos are best well-known for being hospitable.
Filipinos are prominent for his or her close family ties. Filipinos are near their
families and relatives. They value an enormous family and that they surely help

“Utang na loob” or the debt of honor. They always show respect especially to
the elders. Through the ages, Filipino peple have met every kind of
catastrophes and calamities – revolutions, wars, earthquakes, volcanic
eruptions, typhoons and pandemics. Against the hardship of life, they simply
bend, but never break. they are going with the flow. That’s how a Filipino is,

Illicit drug use could be a major social problem with significant impacts on
both the social and economic aspects of any country. The dramatic
improvements in communication and technology in addition to global economic
liberalization have contributed to the growth of international trade. Narco
traffic could be a major global concern because of the substantial impacts it's
on the economies of many countries. While traffic may have immense “benefits”
to drug traffickers and cartels, it, however, causes considerable consequences
on the health and financial systems of a rustic (Saffer, & Chaloupka, 1995,
p.12). dependence contributes to increased robbery and prostitution because
the addicts look for money to finance their drug use. Consequently, many
resources are allocated to enforcement officers to fight these drug-related vices
at the expense of the opposite sectors of the economy. Narco traffic is a major
concern due to its socio-economic and political implications. Illicit drug money,
once it enters an economy, it affects the political systems, the civil society, and
also the productivity of a rustic contributing to social disintegration and
collapse of democratic governance. additionally, misuse affects the health and
also the productivity of human resources of a rustic, which successively affects
its economic process and development.

While civil society is basically divided in their opinion or position on the matter,
there are still some quarters that have mustered the courage to travel public
and have denounced the excesses of the current administration. this can be
being worn out in various ways like mobilization and other actions against
extra judicial killings. Several human rights groups and peace groups have
condemned the campaign, including my organization CODE-NGO, by way of
issuing statements in traditional and social media condemning the additional
judicial killings that are associated with the war being waged by the govt. In
social media though, these statements usually receive nasty responses from
supporters of President Duterte, many of whom appear to be funded trolls.
Lawyers usurping cases also are being attacked in this way. The anti-drug
campaign may be a blatant attack on human rights because the President
himself is “encouraging” through his statements “vigilante” actions and for
citizens to require up arms to kill drug pushers or users. The president has
taken the side of the police being investigated for abuse within the anti-drug
campaign; he also badmouths and undermines the Commission on Human
Rights and other nations and institutions calling for investigations of blatant
human rights violations within the anti-drug campaign.

The Covid-19 pandemic has already led to numerous changes to our world and
lives. We may never return to the globe we left behind before Covid-19, which
could have vast implications for anti-corruption, governance, and development.
Given the gravity and speed of the political, economic, and social changes that
we are seeing, it's vital to require a step back to reflect on the impact of those
trends. When faced with extraordinary circumstances, like the present
pandemic, governments often resort to extreme measures, including increased
surveillance and restrictions of the liberty of assembly and freedom of speech,
and also the closing of space for civil society, the media, and whistle-blowers.
within the short term, countries will face clear corruption and governance
challenges as emergencies put pressure on governments to obtain life-saving
equipment, creating fertile ground for fraud and corruption. These include
shortage-induced bribery risks, overpricing, diversion of emergency response
resources, and kickbacks in procurement processes. The private sector is a
lively player during this environment!
