Why do we communicate?

Why do you need to communicate? There are 4 types of communication.

1, The first type of information is instrumental communication. This is goal
orientated. You may communicate
 Because you want something
 Because you don’t want something
 Because you need something
 Because you want to choose something.
2, The second type is informative communication. This is when you
communicate

 to give the other person information

 to describe an object or activity
 to gain information

3, The third type is expressive communication. This is when we communicate

to

 to express and share our thoughts and feelings

 to share ideas

4, The fourth type of communication is social communication, we use this to

 build and maintain relationships
 to attract attention
