Scenario # 1
In scenario 1 we have 2 options. Either project manager can wait for the
recovery of the labor as we have no time restriction. In this case PM would be compromising
on Time. Or PM can hire another resource for this purpose as it is not considered good to stop
a running project. So, in this case Pm would be compromising on cost.

Scope: 2m (h) by 5m (l) = 2 x 5 = 10
SMT Cost: RS- 100,000
Cost Per SMT = 100,000/10
SMT = 10,000/SMT
For 15 SMT cost will be: 15 x 10,000 = 150,000 PKR
In this Scenario the time is fixed and scope is increased so PM have to
compromise on cost to fulfill the scope within the deadline i: e; 1 week

Scenario # 3
De Havilland's Comet is pioneer in jet industry. They were investing a lot in this
field in the very initial stages. Their research and development cost were in billions so there
was no compromise on the Cost constraint. It was a dilemma they overlook some Quality
Assurance protocols. They don’t go for proper prototyping and not followed Six Sigma
techniques. They also skipped some testing protocols which resulted into 13 crashes and 426
fatalities.
So, De Havilland’s Comet compromised on quality rather than cost or time.
