About a boy by Nick Hornby

This novel is about an immature, wealthy and single man in his thirties named Will who
have never had a big responsibility. One day, Will decided to join a single parent’s group and
he met Marcus there, a twelve years-old child. They both became friends and they started to
share their free time together.
After a while, Will enjoy being with Marcus and he helps him in dealing with his school
problems. The adult teaches to the kid to be mainstream meanwhile the kid shows him how to
grow up.
I was pleasant surprised by the contrast of the two main characters. Hornby has
written a powerful and entertainment novel that you should read if you have the chance.
