MARCO ISLAND POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Marco Island Police Department is investigating eleven vehicle burglaries and three auto thefts which occurred November 29th,
2020 on the following residential streets: Echo Circle, Bluebird Ave, Columbus Way, Wayne Ave, Yellowbird St, Riverhead Ave,
Tahiti Rd, and Worthington St.

At this time, it appears all vehicles were unlocked, and keys were in the vehicles when the incidents occurred.

In one of the vehicle burglaries, at least one handgun was taken: a black Taurus 9mm.

One of the stolen vehicles was recovered Sunday morning in St Petersburg, and the information on the two remaining stolen vehicles
is as follows:

#1 Gray Hyundai Santa Fe FL Tag # 637RVA


#2 Red Chevrolet Camaro with black racing stripes FL Tag # PVDG99

• Never leave your keys in your vehicle.
• Always lock your car.
• Do not leave valuables, including firearms, in a vehicle.
• Park in a well-lighted area.
• Use vehicle alarms.
• If you see suspicious activity, call the Marco Island Police Department immediately.
