THE PRESENTCONTINUOS

The present continuous or present progressive is a verb tense which is used to show that an
ongoing action is happening now, either at the moment of speech or now in a larger sense. The
present continuous can also be used to show that an action is going to take place in the near
future.

USES:

 To describe an action that is taking place right now.


Example: You are studying English grammar.
 To describe a trend or action that is happening today.
Example: Nowadays people are celebrating because of the new major of the city.
 To describe a future action or event that is already scheduled.
Example: We're going on holiday tomorrow.
 To describe a temporary situation or event.
Example: He usually plays the drums, but he's playing the guitar tonight.
 With "always, forever, constantly", to describe and emphasize a succession of repeated
actions.
Example: You're constantly complaining about your new job!
