Introduction
Sunway int’l business college proudly announce the opening of registration to
the Sunway Inter College Futsal tournament 2020 with the collaboration with
Sunway Events & Sports Club and Momento Concern Awards &
Promotional Giveaways from September 20, 2020 at Shantinagar futsal from
8:00 a.m. onwards.

This competition is being held for establishing close relationship and


communications among students, teacher and other staff members within the
Sunway family and respected college members and teacher who participate in
the event.

The main objectives of the Sunway Inter College Futsal Tournament are to
promote sports, healthy lifestyles, promoting unity and most importantly lead to
higher productivity.

The event will be organized with qualified referees from Kathmandu District
Football Association (KDFA) and support of medical teams from Kantipur
Hospital to ensure the smooth running of the event.

The registration from should be filled and returned to the Sunway Events and
Sports Club by the date of September 17, 2020. Please contact Mr. Manish
Maharjan for further enquiries.

Vision, Mission and objective

 Mission

In order for us to achieve our vision, we are working in a unit together to


create an exciting Futsal Tournament and at the same time bringing out the
talents from each and every person involved.

 Objective

The main objective of this event id to provide opportunities and the exposure
to students about futsal in depth. When they get to experience on how to
handle a futsal tournament, they will understand about futsal in better way.
They will be able to have clear idea on the rules and regulations.
Furthermore, organizing these types of events will help students to sharp
their knowledge of planning, organizing and managing as well. It will help
them to be united in one piece and showcase skills about playing futsal
beside study. This type of tournament will help student for refreshment from
their study load. It will help student to power up new level of energy and
excitement to do creative work as well.

Type of Event
The type of event which we are going to conduct is based on the
FIFA FUTSAL game. This game involves 10 players in a field at
the same time, five for each side. This game focus more on
teamwork, communication and dedication for the game besides
individual technique and physical strength. It is a short from of
football which was introduce so that the game can be played in both
indoor and outdoor within less area of filed and less player compare
to the football game. Its rule and regulation are somehow similar to
the football with some extra rules involved in this game.

The total cost of the tournament is expected to be around NRS. 20,000 as per
expended in above table. (Note: Cost of the tournament may vary according to
the unexpected conditions that may appear during tournament).

Special thanks for Sunway Int’l Business School for the support with the
finical of NRS 40,000/- during the tournament and Sunway Events & Sports
Club for volunteers during the Tournament. Momento Concern Awards &
Promotional Giveaways give away all the medals, Trophies and certificate
required in tournament. Also, Referee and first aid kits during the tournament.

25 colleges are taking part in the event which has a winning purse of NRS
1,00,000 while runners up team will get NRS 45,000 and third placed team will
get only medals Certificate and Trophy. Best goal keeper and highest goal
scorer will get NRS 5000 per and remaining fund will be donate to the Sunway
Events & Sports Club.

Rules and regulations


General Rules
Review the following rules and regulations before the futsal season begins to
avoid any confusion. The rules are available below,

Scheduling

Games are scheduled at Friday in between 8 to 10 a.m. and each team will play
over a 25 minutes. Games consist of 5 minutes halftime break.

i. If a team has an insufficient number of players to begin, a 5 minute delay


to the start of the game will be disqualified according to the tournament
rules.
ii. The schedule can continue to next game if both teams are present.
iii. A team can wait the 5 minute grace period until a minimum 4 members of
the team arrive.
iv. Team must consist of 8 players, 5 players (including goalkeeper) and 3
reserves. Only player listed in the official registration from are allowed to
participate in the tournament.
v. Teams are responsible for the behavior of their players and organizer will
not tolerate any act of violence and expelled out from the tournament.
vi. All decisions made by referee are final.
vii. Rules and regulation for the matches for all categories and details of
game regulation will be email 3 days before the match.
viii. Arguing with referee or rough flagrant play will be disqualified.
ix. A team still have too few players following the delay, the team will
receive an automatic forfeit. Forfeit score being 1-0.
x. Loss of expensive goods and injuries of participants during the
tournament shall not be responsible for organizers.
xi. If more serious offence occurs, Sunway Events & Sports Club will
come to a decision for consequences.

Uniform
 Teams must wear same color uniforms.
 Must have appropriate athletic clothing and footwear.

Eligibility
 To be eligible to play in the league all players must have registered and must
pay NRS 5000/- registration fee.

Substitutions

Teams are allowed to switch substitutes through substitution zone in front of his
team’s bench not at the half way line.

Kickoffs

A goal may not be scored directly from a kick-off. The ball must be played
forward first.

Goal clearances

The goalkeeper must use his hands to roll, bounce or throw the ball from
anywhere inside the penalty area to outside the penalty area. Goals clearances
are taken when the ball wholly crosses the goal line and not under the crossbar
and between the goalposts.

Corner kicks

The ball must be placed directly on the corner arc and the kick must be taken
within 4 seconds. If the kick is not taken within 4 seconds the restart becomes a
goal clearance for the opposing team.

Penalty Kicks

Penalty kicks are taken from the penalty spot and must be taken by a clearly
identified kicker. Defenders may not be nearer to the ball than 16 feet and even
or behind the ball when the kick is taken.

Yellow Card / Caution

The offending player is shown a yellow card. If a player is shown two yellow
cards in a match, he is shown a red card.

Red Card / send-off

The offending team plays with one less player for two full game minutes or
unless scored upon before the two-minute penalty expires. The offending player
serves a minimum one-match suspension.

Advantage
Advantage is applied in Futsal. Direct free kick foul will count as accumulated
fouls if advantage is applied even if play is not stopped by the referees. If the
referee gestures with both arms, the foul was a direct free kick foul and will be
counted accordingly. If the gesture is with one arm, the free kick would have
been indirect and will not count as an accumulated foul.

The Goalkeeper

 Must wear a different color shirt.


 He may wear long pants and/or other padding as deemed safe by the
match referee.
 May receive a kick-in directly.
 May kick the ball directly over the half-way line.
 May score directly with his feet during the run of play.
 May not possess the ball for more than four seconds in his own half.
 May throw the ball directly across the half-way line.
 May not score a goal by using the hands (cannot throw or hit the ball
directly into the goal)
 Cannot touch the ball again in any way within his own half after releasing
the ball into play unless an opponent has touched it or it has gone out of play.

Conclusion
In conclusion, the main reason for us proposing to have this tournament is to
fulfill the coursework for MPU 3442-I.This Futsal subject does not have final
exam so this tournament will be our main and only final project. Beside the
coursework it also helps student to showcase the talents and skill hidden inside
them. This tournament also provides opportunity to student to work in a team
and communicate with other and do their best. So, it is important for us to make
sure this tournament will be conducted smoothly.
