Scope:
This policy applies to all our employees
Policy Elements:
1. All University staff members are expected to present a professional image to students, parents,
clients and visitors
2. Department heads should communicate any department specific workplace attire and grooming
guidelines to staff members during orientation & induction sessions
3. Any staff member who does not meet the attire on grooming standards will be subject to
corrective action
4. All staff members must wear the identification card (ID) at all the times while at work. The card
must be worn around the neck with the standard string and holder provided by the university.
Personal Grooming:
All employees are expected to meet hygiene requirements during the regular working hours.
Men: Full/half sleeve shirt, Trouser and Leather shoe. No jeans during regular working days.
No T- shirts.
Women: Saree or Salwar/Churidar Kameez or Western business formals. Gaudy/embroidered
bold dresses may be avoided. No Jeans to be worn from Monday to Friday. No T-shirts
Casuals on Saturdays:
University employs a “Casual Saturday” policy wherein employees are welcome to wear workplace
appropriate jeans and sports/running shoes
Inappropriate Attire:
Shirts tucked out of trousers, t-shirts without collar, round and v-neck t-shirts, slogan carrying t-
shirts are not allowed
Jogging pants
Shorts
Low cut tops
Crop tops
Any form of clothing that is mesh, sheer or see through
Any form of clothing that contains political, personal or offensive messages
Plastic flip flops or high heeled/fancy sandals
Beach footwear, hawai chappals and slippers
Clothing with inappropriate design or stamps are not allowed
Track suits
(Only Saturdays)
