After watching the video segments of Dark Heart of Reading Disabilities I made this word cloud that includes

the feelings of the individuals who spoke.

 Students feel like other people will think they are stupid when they cannot read.

 Adult illiteracy is real. There are adults who are unable to complete job applications because they were
never taught to read.

 Students with learning disabilities need teachers, parents, and administrators who will speak up for
them.

 The inability to read causes misbehavior in school as well as self-shame.

 Some parents aren’t even able to read notes sent home from teachers, this causes them to avoid their
children when they come home from school with important information.

 When students don’t receive the help they need a lot of times they drop out of school or they may stay
and checkout emotionally from others.
