TRIDUUM OF PRAYER, REFLECTION AND THANKSGIVING FOR THE GIFT OF

OUR BLESSED MOTHER MARY and MOTHER IGNACIA:

VALIANT MOTHERS OF FAITH-LIFE WITNESSING AMIDST CRISIS

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we praise and thank You for the gift of our Blessed Mother Mary whose birth
proclaims joy to the whole world, for from her came forth Jesus Christ, our Savior and our Lord. In
her great love for Jesus, she extends that same motherly love to each one of us, praying for us and
with us in our joys and in our sorrows, in our victories and in our trials.

We also thank you too for the gift of Mother Ignacia del Espiritu Santo whose holy end in this
earthly life reminds us of how we must live, ever in the presence of You and always in union with You.
Grant us the grace of courage and faith to love You above all,

to say “yes” to your invitation to take part in your continuous work of salvation:
- as our Blessed Mother Mary did when she knew she was to be the Mother of Your Son
Jesus during the Annunciation; and
- as our dear Mother Ignacia did when she left the comforts of her home and riches to
remain in Your service.

to say “yes” to being grateful and in counting our blessings despite the many challenges our
conditions may bring:
- as our Blessed Mother Mary did when she visited her cousin Elizabeth, singing the
Magnificat amidst her unusual condition of being with Child; and
- as our dear Mother Ignacia did with the early beatas, eating under the moonlight on
banana leaves, joyful in the presence of one another despite the depravity of security
and comforts.

to say “yes” to continuous adjustments and opportunities to exhibit greater faith:

- as our Blessed Mother Mary did when together with St. Joseph and Jesus they fled in
haste to Egypt to protect the baby Jesus from Herod; and
- as Mother Ignacia did when together with the early beatas, she responded to the call to
go beyond the boundaries of a sheltered community life to engage in apostolic ministry
and teach young girls about the Christian faith and form them in Christian virtues.

That in so doing, like Mother Mary and Mother Ignacia, we may valiantly do what is most
pleasing to You whom we love. We ask all these in Jesus name, Amen.
   

 Blessed Mother Mary and dear Mother Ignacia, pray for us. As I thank God for the gift of each
you, I lift up to you my love and petitions.

Hopefully this covid- 19 pandemic will end soon. Thank you for the

blessings you Have given to us. Thank you that we still aren’t infected by

The Virus, and hopefully it stays that way.
