ENGL 4021 M03 MINUTES
Meeting Date: September 8th, 2020

Call to Order:
A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 M03 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce was held
remotely via Google Meet video conference on September 8th, 2020. The meeting convened at 9:00
a.m., Professor LeCompte presiding and Génesis M. Ayala Irizarry, secretary. All students attended
except: Mileyshka Loyo Rivera.

Approval of Minutes:

Minutes of the September 3rd, 2020 meeting were approved after corrections.

Matters Discussed:

1. Professor Le Compte welcomed students to the meeting and presented the agenda for the day.

2. The professor explained the instructions for the Reading Corroboration quiz of Chapter 1 from the
textbook Pocket Guide to Technical Communication.

3. Students proceeded to Moodle platform to answer the short quiz under the ten-minutes limit.

4. The professor discussed Chapter 1 of the textbook and clarified the most important concepts to
remember about the writing process such as: types of writing, examples of technical writing and the
nine steps to better writing.

5. Le Compte assigned students to read Chapter 2 of the Pocket Guide to Technical Communication,
from which they will probably have a Reading Corroboration quiz on September 10th.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 10:30 a.m.
