Final Group Project—Individual Initial Assumptions Template

Part One: Business Idea


Instruction: describe the business that your group chose to purse. Then, include a picture that could
represent your business idea.

Part Two: Market Size and Impact


Instruction: Describe the assumptions regarding the impact of the service.

 How many people does it impact?


 How big is the problem?
 Who is impacted?

Insert a picture of the map of the country that represents your market. Note that If your market is
worldwide or a different country, insert a picture of a map to match that country. If your market is local,
insert a map that reflects your local market.

Part Three: Value Proposition


Instruction: write three different assumed value propositions for your business idea. These value
propositions may be altered after you review the next three parts of this assignment about your
customer segments. See Lesson 03 to review material.

Part Four: Customer Segments 1


Instruction: name and describe the first customer segment. Then answer these questions:

1. Who are they?


2. What pains/gains do they have?
3. How will you solve those pains and gains?

Instruction: provide assumptions regarding which costs will be the most important to know and

Part Eleven: Key Partners


Instruction: Provide assumptions regarding potential partners. See Lesson 06 to review material.

Part Twelve: Key Resources


Instruction: provide one assumption for each of the four key resources (human, financial, intellectual,
and physical). See Lesson 06 to review material.

Part Thirteen: Key Activities


Instruction: provide assumptions regarding what your group would feel are two key activities for your
business. See Lesson 07 to review material.

Part Thirteen: Your Business Name


Instruction: using a BMC, fill in the canvas blocks that you have just made assumptions for. This canvas
represents your original canvas. You will make adjustments to this throughout the next few weeks as
you test your assumptions.
