ENGL 4021 M06 MINUTES
Meeting Date: September 10, 2020

Call to Order:
A regular meeting of the Course ENGL 4021 M06 of the University of Puerto Rico at Ponce was held
remotely via Google Meet video conference on September 8, 2020 . The meeting convened at 10:35 am,
Professor LeCompte presiding Jon Rodriguez as secretary. All students attended except Yresia L. Febles.

Approval of Minutes:
The students who were assigned as secretaries the class prior proceed to read their minutes, minutes were
approved after revision was made and LeCompte made minor corrections.

Matters Discussed:

1. Professor Le Compte welcomed the students with a “good morning”.

2. Professor Le Compte tells the students that there will be no free writing exercise the students
procced to have a quiz on chapter 1.

3. The professor highlighted the most important subjects of chapter 1.

She highlighted the following sections:
a) The table of writing criteria on page 2
b) The steps of technical writing.
c) The Decision matrix on page 8.
d) The professor remarks that most of the steps in technical writing are
planning/thinking instead of actual writing.

4. The Professor assigned the students to read chapter 2 “Structure Achieving Order and Design”
as homework.

5. Le Compte explains remarks, next class the there will be a quiz on chapter 2.

Adjournment: The meeting adjourned at 11:55 pm.
