The employee spent a month working at their company's branch in another town. In a report to their manager, the employee highlights three main differences between the two branches and makes suggestions for improvements. The employee notes that the Sofia branch starts work later but completes more tasks with better results. They recommend trying this approach. Additionally, the Sofia branch has workers collaborate more in conferences rather than individually at desks. The employee suggests adopting this collaborative work style. As part of your job, you recently spent a month working at
a different branch of your company, which was located in another town. Your manager has asked you to write a report on your experience.
Your report should highlight the main differences between
the two branches and make suggestions for improvements that could be made out at either branch.
I am writing this report in order to share the
experience which I gained during a month spent working at our engineering company’s branch in Sofia. Due to the fact that both statistics and my personal opinion have proved that it works better, I recommend some improvements based on my experience.
To begin with, the workday in Sofia begins later than
ours. Nevertheless, at the end of the day the amount of completed tasks is bigger and the results are better. This means that if the workers are concentrated for a shorter period, their work quality improves. So I am of the strong belief that we should try this method.
Secondly, the process of work is completely different.
Instead of everyone working on their own in front of a single bureau, the workers gather in a large conference hall to discuss their projects while everyone is free to share opinion or suggestion. In result, the problems are solved fast and effectively. In my view, this is an improvement which should undoubtedly be taken into consideration.
Finally, another suggestion is the organization of team
building trips. Such an activity is quite beneficial in a nod to the personal relations of the staff. If our workers feel comfortable with each other, it is proven that their mutual work will be more efficient. In conclusion, there are a few improvements listed above which in my view will lead to tremendous success. Not only will the works be satisfied with the new working conditions, but also the manager will be pleased with the result.
