BeCreative Unit
Rationale
From the start of the course to now I feel as though I have greatly improved. At the start I
was really nervous about filming and editing because I didn't know what I was doing.
However, overtime I became more comfortable with what I was doing from practicing and
doing my own research on how to use my camera and the editing software effectively.
While I have improved greatly I still believe I have lots to improve on, specifically with my
editing skills. For this reason, I have chosen to work with Molly for the duration of this unit.

Project Concept
For this project I will be creating a short film and a music video for my target audience which
is 40-60 year olds. My short film production will follow a mother struggling to connect with
her teenage daughter during christmas after the loss of her husband and we will be playing
with nostalgia in the music video by incorporating photographs from the 80’s. For these
productions I will be working with Molly as we came up with these ideas together and we
believe that our skills complement each other well meaning that both of our productions
will be made to a high standard.

Evaluation
Throughout this unit we will be recording our progress through weekly blogs as well as a
final evaluation at the end of the unit. Each week we will also be getting feedback from our
teachers which will be highlighting the areas that need improvement. As well as this since I
am working with Molly I will be specifically focussing my research on certain aspects while
Molly focuses on another, we will then be combining our research to work on our pre-
production planning.
