Dear Principal Hutson,

My name is Kyla Brown, and I am a senior at Jordan Vocational College and Career Academy. I am
in the Business Administration Pathway, and I am also a dual enrollment student at Columbus State
University. I, also, have been a Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) member since I was a
freshman. Unfortunately, I was not able to join my junior yea however, I believe the club is very useful
for future success in students.
FBLA provides numerous of pathways for students for successful in their future careers. I, personally,
do not desire to have a career in the business field however, the resources I have learned in FBLA
will be beneficial for me upon my work life. Some benefits that come along with the membership of a
FBLA member are leadership development, educational programs, business communication and
knowledge, and academic competition events. I, fortunately, had the pleasure to participate in one of
FBLA’s competitions. I competed in the job interview category. Unfortunately, I did not place in the top
five, I scored in 6th or 7th place. It was my first time competing and doing an interview therefore, it was
an enjoyable learning experience for me.
Overall, I aspire that I open your mind about the Future Business Leaders of America Club. I
appreciate and thank you for taking time out your busy day to read my letter. Support for FBLA is
much needed to help build ‘future business leaders’ in our school.

Thank you,
Kyla Brown
