Chattanooga, TN (1/27,2020) – Axiom has recently discovered that two former executives acted
in a fraudulent manner concerning mandatory vehicle road testing procedures. The two
individuals in question were immediately dismissed upon the revelation of this information.
As a company whose goal is to provide transportation to our customers, safety is of the highest
importance. This negligent behavior is unacceptable, and Axiom promises to fully cooperate
with the current investigation by the NHTSA as well as any future investigations related to this
matter.
We would like to emphasize not only our commitment to cooperation with government agency
investigations but will formally commit to employing a third-party to review hiring practices and
to implement stricter compliance standards for our current employees.
“While the individuals at the root of this issue have been dismissed, Axiom understands that
there is much more to be done in order to restore the faith of our stakeholders,” said Senior
Communications Director AP Smith. “Safety and transparency have always been at the core of
our mission, but it is clear that every employee from our warehouses to our CEO’s office needs
to renew their commitment to these principles.”
Axiom has issued an advisory to all customers who bought their vehicles during the period of
2016 to 2018 when these unrecorded road tests took place. The advisory outlined the
possibility that their vehicles might have been road-tested before purchase.
