Agency problem - regulations focus on solving agency problem since board

of directors sometimes do not act for the interest of the shareholders. Also,
shareholders are so many that they cannot perform a proper monitoring
hence regulation must come into play. Also, other agency problems also
include small shareholders and blockholders, and stakeholders and
shareholders
