Behaviour; however, the field has so far been vaguely described & by extension, under-researched.
Therefore, this paper aims to conduct a comprehensive review of literature on the importance of
cognitive skills for corporate employees in India. This study employs a systematic literature review
for reviewing the papers. Systematic literature review helps the researchers to increase the breadth
and improve the rigor of reviewing literature. At the same time, it helps to study and analyse
divergent views and to examine the development of the field. This study will provide an integrated
picture on the importance of Cognitive Skills for corporate employees in India using Scopus database
from 2000 to 2020. The study lists the most significant keywords, prominent authors, evolution, and
citations of the articles. It analyses the literature in terms of theory, context, characteristics, and
methodology. The study also lists the future research directions in the area of the core concept. The
scant literature lacks a comprehensive overview of the above-mentioned topic partly due to the lack
of consensus amongst researchers in this particular field. This study integrates the knowledge of
previous researchers and provides the future research agenda. Hopefully, the paper will also help in
the positive development of this field & will also enable future researchers to use this as a reference.
