Course Title: Collection Management of Information Resources Course Code LIS 102

Knowledge Area: LIS


Course Description: Introduces the various aspects and general principles of collection development and management. This includes
discussion of selection, evaluation, acquisition and development of library and information center collections. This also
presents legal and ethical concerns pertaining to collection development and the preservation and conservation concepts
and practices pertaining to information resources.

type of collection evaluation to be assigned by the teacher. They will

MCO 4 Collection At the end of the term, the students will individually write a collection
